How “Liberal Arts” — Broad-based, Multidisciplinary — Academic Programmes Can Make IIT Education Much More Engaging

Student experience can be made much more engaging by removing rigidity from existing curricula and facilitating greater choice for courses. Such programmes will reduce the perception of a hierarchy between students of coveted and the not so coveted branches, ease the feeling of being “locked” into branches they were admitted into and reduce the angst of “forcibly” studying topics of little or no interest.
