This too shall pass…

It’s completely normal and expected to feel sad or low at times. Generally speaking, different times in life bring out different emotions but that doesn’t mean you need to have a reason or go through hardship to be in a bad mood. Sometimes it just happens out of nowhere. It can get overwhelming and interfere with our day-to-day lives. So what can you do when your negative emotions get out of control and you don’t know how to deal with them?
Here I’ll tell you about a few (highly tested) ways to improve your mood instantly!

  • Number 1: Identify the underlying triggers

It’s normal for our mood to change throughout the day. Some days will be good and some others not really. But that's expected. It’s part of human nature. Sometimes we know the reason why we feel sad, anxious, worried, irritated, tired, and angry, but other times we don’t. That means there is an underlying trigger in our lives that it’s causing all these negative emotions that when you identify and manage, you’ll be able to monitor your mood better.

  • Number 2: Spend time with your close family& friends and let them know

I believe there is nothing more helpful in these kinds of situations than human connection. Especially the kind of connection you have with your close loved ones! Letting your close friends& family know is a sense of emotional responsibility as you also want to reassure them that they aren’t responsible for your bad mood. You can also tell them what they can do to help you. Whether that’s talking to you, spending time with you or simply leaving you alone, it’s important to have a support group in your life. Remember that we don’t always have to go through things alone and it’s totally okay to ask for help!

  • Number 3: Stay active

One of the main things I have noticed that can instantly get me out of a bad mood is exercise! Keeping your body active is proven to boost your mood as your body produces endorphins or the “feeling good” chemicals. Here you can find some of the best forms of exercise to boost your mood.

  • Number 4: Create a self-care day
