Demonetization

When your house is burgled every day because the lock has become ineffective or the duplicate keys are with many antisocial people, What do you do?

You change the lock, not demolish the entire house.

Similarly, when a country is ripped apart due to the presence of massive and widespread corruption, black money and counterfeit currency, structural and institutional changes is warranted, not a complete demolition of the nation’s economic structure which would further aggravate the condition of the poor and marginalized sections of the society, apart from causing many hardships. Demonetization is not a panacea of all economic evils that is in the nation’s economy.
