Here and There

A country tale

Photograph copyright Andrew Westcott

Standing alone at the top of a hill

Pointing this way and that

Out in all weathers, the wind and the rain

The strong winds rock me and push in vain.

But nobody thanks me for being there.

People look at me and stare

They’re wondering, shall I go here or there?

One of my arms was broken

West Bay disappeared from the map

It wasn’t my fault I told them

Some kid had a swing and…SNAP!
