How your HORRIBLE job will get you ahead in life

The title might not be the most convincing. However, it’s still the truth. Having jobs that you hate WILL get you ahead in life.
Let me explain why:
The strange phenomenon about finding your profession is that you never actually know what you want to do, even though you think you do. Another sentence that might not make much sense to you!
Let me explain even further:
Life is about trying out different things and seeing what can possibly suit you. That is why a lot of people take on internships, to learn more about the profession they want to get into and to have some first hand experience of how life will look like after School, University, Apprenticeship, whatever.
However, suddenly you get that good ol’ punch in the face and realize, the career path that you once chose doesn’t seem as appealing to you anymore. It happens. We always think we want something but end up liking something completely different.
Now let’s talk about the jobs that you hate. If you are in that exact situation right now, good! Enjoy your horrible job! Embrace the hate! It won’t last forever.
The first step of knowing what you want to do, is knowing what you don’t want to do. So when you are at your bad job, do you sometimes dream about the things you could do instead? How much you could accomplish if you would do something right now, that you actually enjoy? Your motivation must be through the roof then, which is good! Very good!
Many people, who haven’t been in that situation struggle to find that certain motivation, because they simply don’t know what working at a bad job actually feels like.
They haven’t experienced that certain drive you feel in your bones and fingertips, that feeling that time is constantly running out and that you wish you had more of it, the feeling of not being able to sleep because you want to be active and accomplish something that has been eating up your mind, the feeling that if you don’t do something right this second, some kind of opportunity might just go to waste. If you feel that you’re on the right track!
I suggest you keep reading this over and over again, because I KNOW that some of you out there know exactly what I’m talking about. Working at that dreadful job might be miserable at times, if not most of the time, but because of that your motivation just keeps on growing exponentially. Your appreciation for your dream job will be all the bigger, once you’re doing something you’re passionate about and can call it your TRUE profession.
And lastly, the will that you never ever want to go back on doing that horrible job ever again will just give you that constant reminder to ALWAYS keep working for your dreams.
This is why having jobs that you hate WILL get you ahead in life.
