PANIC MODE: PUTTING OUT THE WILDFIRE

DOES THE CHANGING OF THE SEASONS HAVE YOU FREAKING OUT?

MAYBE UPCOMING HOLIDAYS WEIGH HEAVY ON YOUR HEART WITH EXPECTATION, FINANCIAL OBLIGATION, OR THE SENSE OF A DIMINISHING STRENGTH AS THE LEAVES BEGIN TO FALL.

As I always say, if you’re looking for the solution to these feelings, you have everything you need already inside of you. The key is to truly believe you can be the powerful beings you really are, and walk into the party with a knowing glow and ready to accept the unknown.

The keyhole of true connection this season is not to be stressed or anxious, and to actively pursue The Work needed to keep yourself leveled. Without the ever-present mindfulness of your graceful power, you allow yourself to re-enter into that same old feeling you regretfully have every year. — that place that lacks satisfaction, not feeling the true spirit and depth of connection you hope to have, or sometimes even panic-induced desperation.

In the end, it’s you and not those around you who set you up for disappointment and undue anxiety. Change your approach, and the goodness of the season will envelope you.

BACK UP

Let’s go back to your past holiday gatherings or activities. Go back to the energy of the room or house. How does it feel? Go back to the short tone that you spewed at a loved one. How does that feel? Go back to the mindless shopping, to just check things off the list. Did it serve to benefit your own well-being?

As hard as it may be, reconnect to that stress resurfacing in your body.

As hard as it may be, reconnect to that stress resurfacing in your body. You’ve probably said to yourself, “I don’t want this to my experience next year.” Who would?! Your higher self knows and wants to help you create a different experience. The only reason you would have to continue experiencing things over and over “the old way” is your anxiety getting in the way; creating a vacuum, whirlpool, or dark place (however you tend to see it). Take a deep breath. It’s easier to escape those feelings than you think. You just need one more reminder or wake up call to actually make a change. It’s not too late, don’t put it on the back burner. Let’s start now!

We never get to move on and experience the new without acknowledging uncomfortable and straight-up-bad feelings.

TIPS FOR OVERCOMING THE WILDFIRE OF ANXIETY

Mindfulness: Alone or Not Alone

Most people equate a mindfulness practice as something we have to do alone. So as soon as the craziness of the holidays hit, our own desires and quiet times get put on hold until we reset the first of the year. In actuality, we aren’t bound by this linear time pattern. Every moment and every experience can be a restart, reboot or an opportunity to reignite!

A simple way to do this — before you even get out of bed, call in your angels to your bedside and greet your higher self with love. Ask them to guide and protect you throughout the day. That will then give you the mindspace to recognize the gift of the “turning point” you’re looking for.

While moving through some unexpected adventure in my own life, I was talking to my sister on the phone. She had me connected via Bluetooth, so our conversation was being shared throughout the car with her young children (my dear niece and nephew) in the back seat.

INTUITIVE THOUGHTS TRYING TO GET YOUR ATTENTION — AN A-HA! MOMENT.

As my sister and I were coming to the end of our conversation, my niece Nora shouted from the backseat, “just ask your guardian angel!” That statement struck me — earlier that same day, I had a “knowing thought” pass through my head that Nora had a message for me. “Just ask your guardian angel.”

This is something I talk and teach about frequently. Yet while feeling stressed we can easily disregard the simplest solutions. It’s my belief that we are no longer bound by old world dogma and religions, and that everyone has access to the spirit world. If we never ask, we’ll never know, and we can’t receive the help.

So while you’re preparing for this crazy time of year, don’t forget to make a to do list for the Angels (or your attendant spirits). How do you ask? Keep it real. “Angels, I know you know everything and I need your help with ____ today.” For example I asked them to help me write this blog content.

Move in Nature

Get into nature to stay grounded and in tune with the constant harmony frequency nature brings us. Take a walk, alone or with others, and consciously point out things you see in the sky or in nature. Feel the crunch of the leave and you walk. Watch the animals prepare, just like we are. Notice weather patterns, the stillness of the autumn sky and the coolness in the air as it hits your skin. Smell the air. Remember the moment, and use it as a reboot for your mind.

Mantras

Create some affirmations to keep consistent with the positive vibes you wish to send out and desire to receive back. Here are a couple to try:

  • My holiday season is stress free.
  • I am experiencing the abundance of pure love.
  • Everyone I attract feels this frequency of pure love radiating off of me and spreads pure love as well.
  • I am attracting pure peace this holiday.

Always remember: The power is already within you. This is your season to feel and know the love that you are. There is no more waiting or wishing. The present moment experiences are all that you need. Honor what shows up, good and bad. I am so blessed to have you in my tribe. Now go ignite that bonfire within, and share these tips with others.
