Multinational Corporations & Startups are two similar things which offer an individual with two very different experiences.

People work for a Multinational Corporation and people work with a startup, and that’s a huge difference between them. Startups can really help people to grow, give them a huge amount of exposure. Startups are something which are a product of enthusiastic, smart and daring new minds. People working with them won’t really feel inferior or superior, it’s a causal and friendly environment. The atmosphere is light and not so much sophisticated. You don’t need to be formal all the time. The only thing that matters is that work needs to be done on time. There’s no ceiling while working with a startup, you meet new people and new challenges almost every week and such these things help you grow without any boundaries. In a startup, the only thing that can control your growth is you.
With all things said, there’s no denying the fact that MNCs' do provide you with financial stability and job security which obviously startups don’t. A startup is a huge risk for the person who started it and the people who are working with him or her. While working for Multinational Corporation, you already know beforehand how your year is expected to be, how much you’re gonna make. You’re provided with a team and a project and are told complete the job. There’s a solid hierarchical structure in MNCs and all the employees have to follow their structure. They provide an individual with longevity in world.
Decision to joining a startup or an MNC are bound to change with time and how their lives and degree colleges progress for most of the people. People might think of being the stand out individual, wanting to really be heard and create a change but as their college progresses, they might realised that maybe job security is more important. From what we can see from above is that if you are creative and want to be heard, then startup is the best option, but if you want security and longevity, then MNCs are the best to go.

At the end, it really depends on who we are and how we want our lives to progress rather than just going with flow or with what seems feasible. We need to be sure who we are. Financial Stability is a big factor for anyone, but if you really want your creativity to be put to good use, no one ever said that you can’t go for MNCs if it doesn’t work out at startups, because the growth cannot be brought and neither can the exposure, which those startups are definitely going to give even if they fail and that growth would give us the confidence to be an entrepreneur or to even later work for an MNC.
