Starting-Up for Super Performance: 10 Things You need to Grow a New Business

Start-Up Businesses constitute a revolutionary economic force, comparable in significance to the advent of the Agriculture or the Industrial Revolutions & as I have already discussed in recent pieces, Inspiration and the Capacity to Innovate, be Creative and Think outside that Box have all in one form or another been the Sparks that have fired up new technologies and launched new Business Empires for eons!
Wikipedia defines a Start-up as an Organisation, “designed to search for a repeatable and scalable business model”.
Google began as one. So did Twitter, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Instagram & Skype, to name but a few!
Apart from the right level of investment at the right time, the capacity to Innovate, tenacity and a fair measure of serendipity — by also being in the right place at the right time — the question is, ‘what enables one Start-Up to succeed, grow and prosper, when many others simply fail?’
Here are 10 Things that I have found are pretty crucial through my work supporting and helping new Businesses to Grow:
- Follow the Need & Know Your Market
- Think Better, Not Different
- Keep The Main Thing, The Main Thing
- Start Small, But Start: That one is so important in my Opinion; &
- Keep On Keeping On & Never Ever Give In; because
- Success Is About Resilience: Which will come as no Surprise to those who regularly follow my writing across a range of global platforms & is another Key One for my company The Mudd Partnership too, as is also to
- Create & Express A Clear Purpose
- Do Less, Better
- Be Clear About Your Values, Capabilities & Experience; & Finally the really Crucial One if You are serious and Intend to Stay in Business for the Long Haul
- Grow Revenue, Save Costs, Make Money!
