The most ruthless critic of all.

Your Boss? Your Mother? or your Father? No.It is you.

You like any human have a conscience that is always present and weighs on our every decision we make.Sometimes it acts as our very own support system, cheering every step you take forward, other times it acts as a relentless complainer(Bitch).A self-criticism is a tool that we use to navigate our life’s choices, we value its opinions. We surrender to its rational.

The problem with this self-critic is that it reduces the complexity of our conscience to a single interpretation, and the thing is we believe it is the complete representation of the reality. We know nothing about ourselves because we judge ourselves before we even have a chance to see ourselves. It claims to know us in a way that no one knows, after all, it is our conscience and it is our own.Why does it always have to give us only one interpretation, when you lose your loved ones, why does it always have to interpret this situation as a time of grief, why can’t it represent it as a time to move on with their memories.

This self-critic, not only claims to know you well but also predicts the future, by claiming to know the consequences of our action. How many times you missed an opportunity because you thought you are not enough? not ready? How many times you backed down on a chance, because you thought it was too risky? too bold? Who made all this happen, is it you? or is it the inner voice that’s doing all this?

“Conscience….it is part of our mind that makes us lose our mind.” — Adam Phillips

The first Quarto of Hamlet has “….Thus conscience does make cowards of us all……”

Give yourself a chance.
