“One time when I was in India, I was doing work with my moms charity foundation. We went to this area and there were a lot of poor people. Like a lot of them — like 200. We were giving them blankets and food; we had plenty to give. After we ran out, my mom was trying to get in my car so we could leave. We were done, but all the beggars were crowding around the car. They made a circle around the car. So we had these two people with us who were like our homies and they started hitting the beggars with sticks so that we could leave. My mom got in the car and my brother got in the car, but I was in the group of beggars. The people in the car thought I was one of the beggars, so they started hitting me with sticks. I was really scared because I didn’t want to live with the beggars. I wanted to live in Texas — and now that’s where I live.”
