James Twyman Delivers Hard Hitting New Drama: RINGSIDE

James was kind enough to agree to give me an interview so we could talk more about his new and exiting Amazon show.

Could you tell us a little bit more about yourself and your background?

Growing up with practically nothing, film was always an escape I could count on. I always loved watching films even from a young age. But it wasn’t until I saw Jurassic Park aged about 6 that the magic really hit me. That Christmas I received the making of Jurassic Park book. I poured through the pages looking at the pictures of people making life-size dinosaurs. It was then that I realised film was a job you actually do.

Fast forward a good few years and I shot my first film aged 16. I had been having a really hard time at school. I was bullied because my accent was different after moving to Manchester from Kent and I was beaten up in the streets because of…
