My Strategy On Medium:
I believe that engagement matters the most. On most of the platforms, where you start from zero, engagement plays a role.
I read other people’s articles and if I liked it genuinely, I took time to appreciate their work. This shows my presence on this platform. If the other person reading my comment decides to read my article and that person genuinely likes it, might give me feedback. This is where the quality comes in.
Even if you engage with other writers and don’t focus on the quality of your written pieces then the people who open up your articles aren’t genuinely going to like your piece and won’t become your consistent reader.
Therefore, organic growth is super important. When your audience grows organically this brings in all the good things, including, consistent readers, building a community, and helping you grow on other platforms as well, as a result, you enjoy your work and feel motivated to write every single day.
It doesn’t matter how many pieces you publish a week if it lacks quality, it is pointless.
I have submitted a few articles to big publications that have followers in lakhs but looks like they won’t accept them. Sad, but it is okay! I need more practice and experience and hopefully one day they will publish my articles.
How I gained experience in writing when I have been on medium for only 6 days:

So it has been only 6 days of writing on Medium on this account. I actually was a writer on Medium with almost 2k followers before this but the account got stolen and then deleted, which is a different story.
So I officially have 5–6 months experience of writing on Medium.

I have experienced and seen other writers, writing about this too, giving a personal touch to your story gives it the boost.
When you write something based on your personal experience it gets the most views.
I love to write about business and side hustles. I like to share my monthly income as it is my motivation when I read an article with income reports by other writers.
I also write about personal experiences with different side hustles that I have tried.
