South London based singer Ruth-Ellen drops visuals to accompany her latest single entitled “Glow” (produced by Prospect)
Having released her 2016 single ‘Glow’ to critical acclaim (in both live and online spaces), It was only natural a video would follow to do the audio justice. With smooth R&B vocals over a Koto string veered beat the songstress sings from the heart and captures ears effortlessly. The visuals (directed by Munya Chidakwa, with assistance from Laurelle Jones and Kevin Kiruthi) feature an old English hedge maze like something out of a Lewis Carroll novel, enhancing the song’s content about navigating life, retaining faith & complex pathways.
The SXWKS member, singer and songwriter will also be kicking off her own ‘Ruth-Ellen & Friends’ intimate live event series soon. Fans of her music will be able to experience songs like ‘Glow’ performed in their full greatness with live instrumentation.
