Donte and Bocha share new visuals for ‘Petunias’ produced by PDX based Stewart Villain
Portland based MC’s, Donte Thomas and Bocha (of GFE) release visuals (directed by King Spencer) for their latest single entitled “Petunias” (produced by Stewart Villain). The video’s dark winter backdrop provides a melancholy feel, while the artists’ contrasting approaches to writing are showcased in a loose-knit format. Donte proclaims “It’s preposterous to think we same when actually we opposite, It’s polar. Excuse me If I’m shining on my solar”, with strong delivery. Bocha tackles the eerie Hip Hop beat with a more laid-back flow invoking imagery about his artistic journey.
Their forthcoming collaborative EP, “Garden Boys” will be released on the “STRAY Music” label with content centered around their experiences growing up in Portland. PDX locals may instantly recognize references to the Portland Trailblazers stadium originally known as “Rose Garden” in their name and musical output.
