We did it! Our third #HACK is complete! This weekend there was an amazing amount of work, time, skills, passion, and personal connection. As impressive as the results of a good hackathon are, what’s more impressive is that this is not just one event, but a moment shared globally. People from all walks of life representing hundreds of organizations participated. Furthermore, it’s not an isolated moment, but a continuation of a tradition that has lasted the past three years. We would like to thank all the heroes representing cities and nations all over the world who stepped up to host an Indigitous #HACK location. This event is more than just a hackathon — it’s a statement of unity, a picture of the global Church, and it’s inspiring. Here’s a look at our team call. Due to time zones, only 18 of the 37 cities could make it onto one call together — but it’s still impressive.

37 cities participated in the 2018 #Hack, bringing Christian coders and creators together to affect positive change.

I’ve been on the Indigitous leadership team for three years and have gotten to meet some of the people who are a part of this movement (though not as many as I would like). The handful that I have spent time with have felt like family immediately. This amazing group of people have so much in common, and such a sense of unity and shared purpose. It is a breath of fresh air to be with people who understand you. If you’re a technology-inclined Christian, a faith-filled coder or creator, or just have ideas that could change the world and no idea how to make them — join the next Indigitous event near you! Get connected to a meet up group, or if there isn’t one, host it yourself and see who shows up!

We hope you’ll join this amazing group of people who love Jesus and technology and are using their skills and gifts together to impact the world for better and for God. -> www.indigitous.org
