Current Key Topics

Data Management

• Situation / Complication: The core of the Internet of Production is data generated in large amounts by connected machines and sensors. Advanced data analytics approaches uncover insights and support human decision-making.
• Our Resolution: We seek to develop user-centered data management approaches that optimize structures and processes to sustainably exploit the full potential of emerging data.

Competency Management

• Situation / Complication: Disruptive technologies, globally networked value creation and socio-political developments are constantly changing the demands placed on employees.
• Our Resolution: We investigate KSAOs (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other characteristics) and develop skill sets of employees that are necessary to work in the Internet of Production.

Qualification

• Situation / Complication: Operating the Internet of Production requires not only traditional occupational expertise but also technological skills, social communication skills, adaptability and self-management
• Our Resolution: We develop strategies and concrete qualification measures for promoting competencies required to improve performance and achieve success in future production work.
