The Industrial IOTA Lab Aachen

The Industrial IOTA Lab Aachen (IILA) is a community driven laboratory which offers students, lecturers, industry representatives and enthusiasts research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Economy, Machine-to-Machine communication, Distributed-Ledger-Technologies (mainly IOTA), and the Industrial Internet of Things. Want to know more about the IILA ? Read about it in this article.

Towards the Vision of a Industrial Data Economy

At IILA we work for the vision of an industrial data economy. We will start with a manufacturing economy, as outlined here, because we wanted to start immediately with something that has an impact. In industry and economy you don’t convince with laboratory exercises, but only with hard facts and heavy machines. If you also want to measure yourself against real challenges and grow beyond your limits, the IILA is your sparring partner.

What we’ve done so far

We are currently working on building an autonomous manufacturing platform using distributed ledger technologies in which AI-based microservices will revolutionize the efficiency of manufacturing companies. Our status reports report on our progress.

About Learning and Teaching at the IILA

If you find yourself in this vision, let’s do something together. Whether as a student assistant, in your Bachelor or Master thesis, or as a lecturer to train your colleagues. However, you should have a strong background in programming and related topics.
