Queensland residents must now complete their White Card training in a face-to-face (F2F) setting. In the past the majority of Queenslanders used online training providers to complete the training, but new rules stipulate registered training organisations (RTOs) are no longer able to offer online training for this course. Exemptions to this may apply for residents located in rural areas. To complete your White Card face-to-face, visit the Tradie Training White Card web page.

If someone recommends that you do the White Card online as they have in the past, chances are they’ve completed their White Card course prior to 2019, when the new F2F changes kicked in.

A quick and easy way to find a legitimate training provider is to make sure that their website ends in edu.au, as only government approved and regulated training providers have access to this domain name.

Another step is to make sure that the organisation has an RTO (Registered Training Organisation) number listed on their website, and to check the number on the training.gov.au database. This will allow you to see the organisations scope of registration.
