A White Card is a safety qualification that must be completed by a person before they are able to legally enter a construction site in Australia. In order to receive a White Card, you must complete a general construction induction course, otherwise known as a White Card course. Previously this may have been known as a Blue Card, Red Card or Green Card course, depending on your state or territory.

You must then answer a series of short answer verbal questions and demonstrate fitting four specific items of personal protective equipment (PPE) to yourself. Some of the topics covered in the course include hazards, risks, emergencies and reporting procedures.
