Polis: The Real-World Community Blockchain

Polis is a decentralised, community-focused blockchain whose aim is to empower people through direct action, real-world projects and charitable outreach programmes.

Polis help communities by making charitable donations to those in need, selecting projects that need funding via an integrated voting system.

Running a Proof of Work (PoW) blockchain with a block time of two minutes, Polis use the X11 algorithm to power their operations. Their transactions are verified in under a second and they currently have over 1500 community-run Masternodes worldwide. Anyone can buy a Polis Masternode with 1000 POLIS.

Polis are closely partnered with Gobyte (GBX), Monoeci (XMCC) and ColossusXT (COLX). These partnerships help to sustain a new PolisPay card that allow conversion of cryptocurrency into fiat money for use. Working with CACAO Payments, Polis will allow these cryptocurrencies and others (including instant cash out from BTC) to be used through the card, as well as backing up their entire payment network through MasterCard.

The project started in December 2017 and has already seen its Masternode network survive multiple upgrade cycles. They’re continuing to develop many different goals, that are substantially larger compared to other Masternode coins on the market.

Polis are also looking to release a second version of the Whitepaper, as well as a revised roadmap and a new digital marketing campaign in Q2 2018.
