Self-portrait by The Mother

I grew out of Her vast, sunlit gaze,
Which looks thru the matrix of embodied life;
She is the reason of my existence,
And the cause of its friction of force luminous.

My body carries the memory of Her physical,
The honeycomb-pattern of Her endless mutation,
And the scent of Her fragrance immortal
In the mysterious act of a happy contagion.

The negating depths sear with opposing pain,
Threatening decay and death unimagined:
Her all-conquering Will transfigures the lower equation,
While her golden shield protects me from the painful night.

She is the honey of my physical,
The ambrosia of the deathless All.

Inevitable Word

Inevitable Word is a pedestal for the newer forms of Poetry, Prose and literary Criticism. It is an attempt to bring into every manuscript the inevitable word and expression of the Spirit, as may be found in the Vedas, and more prominently, in the works of Sri Aurobindo.
