“I shall do what Thy spirit wills,
If hell be Thy will for me.”,
Say the sages, say the sages!
Will they ever grow to be?

“I shall die a thousand deaths,
If death were Thy means of change.”,
Say the angels, say the angels!
Will they ever know and emerge?

“I shall suffer world’s pains,
If that be Thy ordained destiny for me.”,
Say the poor minds, say the poor minds!
Will these minds ever rapturous grow and see?

But the body says to I,
“Oh, but it is He, it is He!”
