The One and The Many

Poetry — Daily Poetry for The Master of Works #11

In my daily brood
Thy enchantment is all that is:
A wayward call from the morbid depths
At times the only night
Before daybreak of Thy august spirit.
In my daily wage Thy measureless
Bounty my measured purse,
And the world’s riches poor and finite.
A change comes of Thy vast breath
Into my clay scented with Thy presence:
A marvel hour draws rapturously close
And my being grows tall of Thy divine mirth.
In my daily gestures I feel
Thy untrammelled movement of supernal release,
And twixt my mind and body a hyaline stair of Thy unknown bliss.
In my daily mead is the thrill
Of Thy nourishing force; in my godhead endeavours
Lie myriad scales of Thy deathless grace.

In my heart and soul and mind
Is the One and the Many integrally abide.

Inevitable Word is a pedestal for the newer forms of Poetry, Prose and literary Criticism. It is an attempt to bring into every manuscript the inevitable word and expression of the Spirit, as may be found in the Vedas, and more prominently, in the works of Sri Aurobindo.
