Unity
Sonnet — An Invocation to The Master #17

A knowledge at my doorstep wore a form of Thee,
Bright as sun by firmaments draped.
It entered my heart with pomp and fanfare of Thy infinity,
Engulfing my little emotions in a blaze of Thy light.
Thy mind has become my mind’s enamoured silence,
All its divisions ceased in Thy radiant eternity.
I now see man and beast as forms of Thy one bliss,
Strum-notes of Thy vast indivisibility.
My feet are now a measure of Thy spirit’s pace,
My body is Thy temple of perfect surrender.
My limbs bear Thy mighty puissance
And tease death with Thy immortality’s humour.
Thou art I and I art Thou,
Wedded to each other in a siege of eternal love.
