This is our first product update post since we started testing our service with some hand-picked learners. We are now accepting more and more users and we want to get into a habit of highlighting some of the great new features we have in store for you.

We have been quite busy during the summer:

A new way to discover great insights

Discover New Stashes

Stashes are collections of insights extracted from all web sources. And until now, finding great stashes was a bit of a hassle. That’s why we are revamping our Discovery page to highlight some hand-picked stashes in 4 categories:

We will handpick one stash a day to get your creative juices flowing and help you learn something everyday.

Better way to manage your knowledge library

Your profile, where all your insights sit also got a visual and functionality upgrade. There are special sections for your stashes and insights. You can focus on the ones you created or the ones borrowed from others. And finally you can see your follow stashes at the end of the Stashes section. Updates from your stashes will appear in your feed as before, but we think there was a need to quickly get to all the stashes you decide to follow.

A new home, a new navigation system

A new homepage with easy access to you knowledge-base and daily stashes

Most likely you will notice we changed the navigation. From a sidebar to the top. Which means there is more space for your insights. The new homepage is designed to reflect that: you have now a more compact feed and quick access to your insights, stashes & discovery feed. Let us know how everything works for you.

What are we working on next?

Lots. A big focus for our next release will be to allow for the creation of insights from the app. We will soon allow you to add insights as quickly as you want. And not necessarily insights tied to a web source. Stay tuned for this one.

We are also constantly making improvements to existing sections and the Settings pages are due for a cosmetic and functional review.

And lastly …. Mobile. We are well aware that’s a key area of our service. We are pretty far away from a release but rest assured we are on it.

Deepstash is helping lifelong learners collect and organise their insights from articles, books and other sources. We are in closed beta but you can request access if you leave us your email.
