People generally take good care of their possessions, that’s why whenever we buy something, we also buy protection for it. I bet your new iPhone has a case on it, your car has an alarm and your home is insured. Same goes for our digital assets: we do our best to protect them from loss, theft or anything else that could separate us from our precious crypto. Now let me ask you: how much would you pay to ensure you always have access to your crypto-assets? Probably a hefty sum, but fortunately that’s not the case with Infinitus and that’s exactly what makes it a universal solution, available to anyone.

Low-Cost, High-End Crypto Security

Ever since Infinitus was in its inception phase, it was meant to solve the pestering problem of losing access to your crypto. It does that by storing your private keys, passwords and recovery phrases on the blockchain itself, on a peer to peer network of nodes but I won’t go into those details because we’ve covered it all before. Besides high security, we needed to address another issue: costs. What good is a great product if it is only accessible to a few, rich people? And really, there are a few coins out there that don’t serve any real purpose, don’t solve any real problem but are still valued sky high. I’m gonna give you just one example without naming the coin because I don’t want to bash anyone: this particular coin is currently valued at $24,601 (keep in mind that at the time of writing, Bitcoin is $6,491) and during 2017 its highest value was over $2,500,000. Yes, you’ve read that correctly… and you cannot even find a website for this coin or a useful application.

Clearly coins like that are not accessible to a lot of people and are probably used mostly for speculative purposes anyway. We wanted to avoid all of that by making Infinitus (INF) accessible to anyone so we’ve set the launch price at just $0.24. Also, being a utility token, its price will be somewhat protected from huge swings, but of course we cannot control that entirely because market participants will decide its value through trading at exchanges.

Another reason for making Infinitus’ price so accessible is because the backbone of Distributed Ledger Technology is its peer to peer network of nodes and this means the more people join, the more secure the entire network will be. A low price ensures we can build up a blockchain community and make Infinitus a must-have dApp for as many crypto-wallet users as possible, while increasing security.

Private “Bank” At Your Fingertips

According to studies, almost 2 billion adults across the globe are unbanked. Especially in underdeveloped countries, it is common for family members to relocate and work abroad to send money home. Of course, this is very difficult if they don’t have a bank account and the fees for using intermediary services such as Money Gram or Western Union are extremely high in some places. This is where cryptocurrency can help by banking the unbanked. All they need is a crypto-wallet and a phone, not even a computer.

But the mathematical principles that make blockchain technology so secure are also the ones that will deny you access to your own crypto assets if you don’t have your password or private key. After all, that’s the whole purpose of a password: to keep people out unless they have the key. In this regard, blockchain is a double-edged sword — it’s safe but at the same time it can come back to hurt you if you’re not careful.

So in order to really have a “private bank” at your fingertips, you need to make sure you always have access to your crypto. Obviously, losing access means the contents of the crypto-wallet are forever gone as far as you’re concerned. This huge problem cannot be overlooked but thankfully it has been solved by Infinitus, which guarantees that your private keys, passwords and recovery seeds are never lost, rather that you can retrieve them in case you forget them.

Infinitus Is For Everyone

High-end security is the prime goal for Infinitus but besides this, we needed to make sure two other checkboxes are ticked: easy to use and inexpensive. To make it truly available to everyone, we needed to make it as simple to use as any other iPhone or Android mobile app. And we did: no blockchain knowledge needed, no technical skills or complicated menus, no steep learning curve. Just pick it up and store your digital keys.

As for the inexpensive part, I believe everyone agrees that $0.24 launch price is as low as it gets, so it really is affordable to everyone, especially to the low income population that needs a solution to safeguard their crypto assets. With all these boxes checked, Infinitus aims to become the go-to dApp for storing and protecting private keys, servicing everyone across the globe, not only the rich people. After all, that’s what decentralization really is.
