Fusion Success Rates are vital to know when leveling up your NFTs

In Infinity Arena, your NFT Mining Tools and NFT Guardians can be upgraded to a higher level of Rarity, increasing both their powers and values. However, there are probabilities of failure and success that need to be put under consideration when it comes to any attempt to harness the “miracle” of this Fusion feature, or else your NFTs would go to waste

Basics of the NFT Fusion

As usual, each NFT item has a Rarity level within its ecosystem: The higher Rarity, the more worth and even better utility in the case of blockchain games. Rarity is pre-determined and fixed upon any NFT purchase, no chance for the owner to change it (well, let’s say it is most of the time).

Here at Infinity Arena, we developed a feature called Fusion. Its purpose is to merge two identical NFTs into one of its kind but with one-level higher in Rarity. Sounds great, doesn’t it? Just wait! Because no high prize comes easily, we must accept that Fusion can fail many times. That is when your pair of NFTs get burned, and the fusion fee is lost (though it is not much).

The question is how to anticipate the risk before you hit the button. The positive outcome of Fusion is tempting, but at which rate are you willing to take it? If you keep scrolling down, the truth will reveal and help clear your mind the next time you use the Fusion.

Fusion Success Rate

To know how likely a Fusion might bring you good fortune, the pre-calculated success rates are all that matter. But before deep-diving into the specific numbers, there is a big difference between Fusion Guardian and Fusion Machine that we need to mention first.

Fusion Guardian requires the two NFTs to have the same elements (Fire, Water, Earth, or Air), while Fusion Machine does not. As a result, only the Fusion Success Rate for the Mining Tools takes Elemental Synergy into account.

  • Positive synergy, or Buff (Fire with Air, and Water with Earth): Increase Fusion Success Rate
  • Neutral synergy (of the same elements): No effect on Fusion Success Rate
  • Negative synergy, or Debuff (in the rest of the cases): Decrease Fusion Success Rate

Now, let’s check out the “magic numbers” that we have been waiting for:

As we all see in the tables, the Fusion always works best with Common NFTs (level 1). From level 2 upwards (Rare to Mythical), the rates drop drastically, which means you will face a high risk of losing the NFTs if you try using Fusion. On the other hand, high risk — high return, who knows?
