IBL expands partnership network
When dreaming big, having a motivated, talented team can make the difference between success and failure.
As a global leader in blockchain, Infinity Blockchain Labs relies on collaborative relationships and cooperative alliances. Recently, IBL added to its team of partnerships by discussing or signing MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Vietnam National University (VNU) — HCM Information Technology Park (ITP), Innovatube and GetLinks. These new alliances will help us lead Vietnam in its meteoric rise within the global blockchain community.
Vietnam National University, HCM — Information Technology Park (ITP)
VNU, HCM — ITP is an entrepreneurial ecosystem initiated by Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, to enhance the country’s innovation capabilities and technological readiness. The project’s major goal is to identify, nurture and assist Vietnamese startups in various stages of development. ITP collaborates with public and private stakeholders (i.e.capital firms, businesses, academic and research institutions, laboratories, etc.) to pool and distribute human, capital and information resources, with the intention of becoming a fully sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem.
ITP has completed construction on the first of several state-of-the-art buildings in Thu Duc District, within which over 30 startups have received free resources and training valued at over two billion VND. In support of these and other startups and entrepreneurs, ITP has hosted events such as Google Xday, Vietnam Web Summit, Echelon, Hatch Fair and more. Some successful startups who received seed funding from ITP include tutoring service GrabLingo, shipping innovators Ship60 and restaurant marketing-optimization app Meete.
This week Do Van Long, IBL’s President’s Office Director visited to discuss a formal partnership that would promote blockchain technology amongst the community at ITP and students at VNU — HCMC as well as the surrounding area. “ITP is the perfect partner because their vision for education and accelerating of technology startups is in complete alignment with our strategy for expanding awareness and expertise in blockchain,” Long revealed. IBL will lead and develop workshops for the startups currently at ITP in tandem with Vietnam Blockchain Club. Similarly, the partnership will increase visibility and accessibility amongst the many students in Thu Duc for the more in-depth Asia Blockchain Labs Education. By combining resources, connections and expertise, both groups will be able to attract even more attention to their communities of motivated lecturers, students and entrepreneurs to address business training, plans and dreams. The shared incubation services and support are certain to aid and produce advances in tech research with wide-reaching impact. It’s through these efforts that we can empower the motivated people of Vietnam to become the global leaders in blockchain technologies.
Innovatube is a technology startup incubator that operates in Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and the United Kingdom. They aim to become the worldwide leader for accelerating global innovation through capital investments in Southeast Asian frontier tech startups by providing technology consultations to startups and fostering foundation ecosystem growth through formal programs and events.
Innovatube’s multi-faceted strategy to transform the globe’s technology landscape means they actively take on numerous roles. Their accelerator has provided essential support to companies such as English learning disrupters, Antoree.com and popular review app, Lozi. As a solutions lab, they assemble groups of engineers and developers for projects and companies all around the world. And within Vietnam, Innovatube has been a major instigator of learning through the many meetups, workshops and talks they host in Hanoi. For example, this year alone they hosted events introducing IoT (Internet of Things), explaining how to design for iOS, tips for education startups and a series of “Founder Fairy-tales” where successful entrepreneurs shared their experiences. Innovatube also established LaunchIT, an event to help startups introduce their new products and engage with the public as well as published Innovatube Bean, a playbook for pre-seed startup, or any entrepreneur who seeks to gain a basic and concentrated knowledge about the startup world.
In the spirit of collaborating on blockchain community growth, IBL signed an MoU with Innovatube regarding their upcoming event “Innovatube Frontier Tech Summit”. The Hanoi conference and exhibition unites 500+ Vietnamese and international entrepreneurs, engineers, researchers & top tech companies from AI, IoT, Blockchain and VR/AR technologies to share knowledge, form partnerships and plan for real-world projects. The one-day conference and exhibition gathers the brightest minds in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to share their knowledge of frontier technologies & how to implement them in real-world projects. IBL will be a featured speaker and media partner for the event. This role serves to further deepen the relationship, which began when Innovatube was an important media partner for
IBL’s ENIGMA event and introduced several pivotal blockchain players. IBL’s Head of Marketing, Nicole Nguyen summed up one of the goals of the partnership stating, “by increasing our presence in Hanoi we will have opportunities to connect with even more talented and enthusiastic collaborators who share our vision of establishing Vietnam as a world leader in blockchain development. That is really exciting!”

IBL and GetLinks signed an MoU on June 1st to co-organize a series of workshops for their shared audiences and collaborate on media initiatives. IBL will also develop specific blockchain-focused workshops for the GetLinks talent network to make them even more attractive to potential companies. As IBL Marketing Specialist, Tran Kieu Diem, explained, “this partnership will expand both of our audiences as we rely upon each other’s carefully cultivated relationships, as well as further establish IBL as Vietnam’s blockchain leader”.
An Expanding Network
The partnerships with ITP, Innovatube and GetLinks contribute to an already large community of like-minded groups we have recently connected with, including six of the country’s top universities (Information Technology Institute, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Bach Khoa University), Binh Duong University (BDU), Can Tho University (CTU), Da Nang University of Science and Technology, and An Giang University), as well as leading news providers Chain-Finance, BitLegal, and community partners BitHub Africa and Blockchain Business Community. We are excited to see how these connections with major blockchain players and efforts to nurture the growing blockchain ecosystem will help expand awareness and enthusiasm for blockchain!
