Hello IFUMers, we are excited to introduce a new INFLEUM Advisor, Joshua Hong, an internet-media entrepreneur & venture capitalist. It is hard to sum up his extensive work history in few words and no one can deny the fact that he is a big deal, elite member in the blockchain industry.

Hong received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and International Business.

He began at Accenture as technology and corporate strategy consultant and Deutsche Bank in its global investment banking and M&A group prior to starting North America’s first free-to-play MMORPG publisher, GamersFirst.

GamersFirst became one of the largest free-to-play MMORPG publishers in the Western Hemisphere with offices in U.S, India, Brazil and Turkey. He then started a virtual game asset trading platform in Asia and one of the largest virtual currency payment platform for gamers in North America, Playspan, as its early backer, shareholder and a board member; Playspan was acquired by Visa International.

He won the local Business Journal’s Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award in 2010 and was chosen as one of 40 under 40 in 2011. He is now Founder and General Partner of Exponential, a $150M early-stage venture fund. He also founded and chaired YPO Singularity University Seminar, one of the highest rated educational programs in Young Presidents Organization.

As a strong and reliable INFLEUM advisor, Joshua will advise on INFLEUM project with his insight and influence on the blockchain industry. We aim to grow INFLEUM into a successful global blockchain platform together with Joshua.

Hello IFUMers, 인플리움의 새로운 어드바이저 인터넷 미디어 사업가이자 벤처 투자자인 조슈아 홍을 소개할 수 있게 되어 기쁩니다. 그의 방대한 이력을 한 마디로 정의하는 것이 쉬운 것은 아니지만, 블록체인에 한번이라도 관심을 가져본 사람이라면, 그를 ‘블록체인계의 엘리트’이자 ‘거물’이라고 칭하는 것에 이견을 가질 수 없을 것입니다.

이후에는 북미권 최초 부분 유료화 게임 MMORPG 공급사인 GamersFirst를 설립하여, 미국과 인도, 브라질과 터키에 지사를 둔 서구권 최대의 MMORPG의 공급자 중 하나로 성장시켰으며, 초기 투자자, 주주 및 임원으로서 북미지역 최대 가상화폐 거래 플랫폼 중 하나인 플레이스팬(Playspan)의 설립에도 참여했습니다.

2010년에는 Entrepreneurship Award에서 지역 사업 언론 부문 우수상을, 2011년에는 40세 미만의 뛰어난 사업가 40명 중 한 명으로 선발된 바 있습니다. 또한 1억 5천만 달러 규모의 초기 벤처 펀드 Exponential의 설립자이자 GP(General Partner)이며, YPO(Young President’s Organization)에서 가장 높은 평가를 받은 교육 프로그램 중 하나인 YPO Singularity 대학 세미나를 설립하고 그 회장을 역임하였습니다.
