Introducing the Influence Marketing Podcast

One of the goals of the Influence Marketing Council is to carry out research into the practice of influence marketing and asking questions like:

  • How are B2B companies building relationships with influencers, advocates, and communities?
  • How do these relationships affect the business?
  • What are the common characteristics of programs that work?
  • How is the landscape changing as new platforms and behaviors emerge?

We knew we’d be having conversations with practitioners and analysts across industries, and we wanted to expand those conversations both to members of the council — who are all from B2B brands and grapping with these kinds of questions daily — as well as to the larger marketing community.

As a long time podcaster, it didn’t take me long to come up with the idea of recording and publishing these conversations as a podcast. I co-founded the IMC with my lovely wife Kat, so together with her as co-host we set off to talk with some interesting people and make a podcast.

For our first set of episodes, we’re focusing on talking with people who run advocacy programs in B2B tech companies. These programs bring together the people most engaged with a company and grow win-win relationships.

What makes them tick? How did they start? And how do the program managers connect these programs back to the rest of their companies?

Stay tuned!
