It happens to the best of us. So many brands focus so little on the details and the scope of their influencer strategy only to fail and fall flat on their face.
The good news? Influencer marketing is an evergreen strategy, that you can always execute over and over again.

Our experience comes from over 20,000 influencer and brand collaborations, with a total of 150+million impressions from Instagram, YouTube and blog campaigns to tell you that you’re not alone.

Our 3 major warnings of how influencer marketing campaigns fail.

Poorly organized = poorly executed campaigns:

This is easy to understand. If you build a house on faulty foundation, you’re bound to get an unstable house. It’s the same with any marketing campaign, especially influencer campaigns.

Having your campaign and all of your influencers in one place is a good start but really start to outline the stages you need to move the influencers into to keep track of all your influencers. You can use a spreadsheet or an influencer CRM like MuseFind.

Influencer relationships grow stale:

One of the killers to a great influencer marketing campaign is the follow through. Brands forget to continuously work with the same successful influencers over and over again, to nurture those relationships.

Tracking analytics and looking for specific patterns:

Too many of us focus on the results rather than the process to get the results. Making sure you look for patterns in the % of engagement per influencer post, how many views you got from each influencer collaboration, and which messaging you’ve tested on your influencer campaign will shy you away from failing to track analytics.

In conclusion: influencer marketing is an evergreen process so if you’ve made the following mistakes listed above, don’t worry! You’re not alone and it’s not too late. These three tips are all interlinked so it is safe to say that when you have all three in place, you will see significant improvements in your future influencer marketing campaigns.
