These days in the age of technology, creative applications, and AI, capturing pictures is almost effortless.
The most challenging and intriguing, however, is not about what you capture, but how you create it. Visual content creators believe good photography is more than gears and techniques.
In fact, it is a combination of many things that mostly factor in emotions and storytelling rather than technicality and fundamentals. Of course, mastering the light, subject, and composition is as important.
Why do some photographs “work” and are more appealing as opposed to others? Surely there must be some kind of framework for professional photographers.
Before we go further into understanding what really goes into photography, you must remember one thing — there are no fixed rules, photography is a creation. It is a free-formed art. A photographer’s basic understanding of photography and its essential components may be the first step to becoming a good photographer. But great photographers evoke emotions and enrich deep stories through their pictures. Like an artist working on a blank canvas, except you don’t start with a blank canvas.
