Singapore — 11 June 2018: InfoCorp Technologies appoints Ng Ling Soon as Chief Operating Officer to oversee the company’s daily operations, and ensure reliability of Sentinel Chain platform to meet international practices and standards.

A dynamic leader with over 20 years experience in finance and technology across Asia Pacific, Ling Soon who walks his talk, is reputed to challenge the status quo of traditional IT infrastructure models to deliver on clients’ goal to be thought leaders in technology.

As Chief Technology Officer of BCSIS (BCS Information Systems), wholly-owned by NETS (Network for Electronic Transfers Singapore), he drove the implementation of FAST (Fast and Secure Transfers) — a national real-time payment network across 14 Singapore banks, taking it live within six months.

Before that, he spent 16 years with Overseas Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) overseeing infrastructure operations of multiple large-scale projects. This included his instrumental role in the bank’s regional data centre consolidation project, where he brought state-of-the-art technology to improve the productivity, efficiency and resiliency of the tech operations.

“I am thrilled to take on the role of COO for InfoCorp Technologies.” expressed Ling Soon, adding that, “The scale of opportunity at InfoCorp Technologies is substantial and I am confident that my experience, working for a wide variety of businesses within the technology and fintech sectors, will help the company, and Sentinel Chain project, reach its true potential as the leading blockchain-based platform for delivery of financial inclusion services to the poorest — the underserved and unbanked.”

Outside of his passion for fintech, Ling Soon enjoys quality time with his wife and two boys. He also enjoys gardening because “ it is a way for me to destress and be close to nature. It’s especially satisfying when the plants in the pots start to blossom and bear fruits “, he enthuses.
