How to use google drive
Hi, in this post i will show you how to use google drive on your smartphone as well as on computer. But before starting this guide let me tell you what is google drive and why you should use google drive?
What is google drive
Google drive is a cloud based platform where you can store your files, photos, media files, etc. You can access those files from anywhere by login to your account. File uploaded on google drive are safe because your file will by protected by google.
Here is why you should use google drive?
If you are facing a memory issue with your phone or computer and don’t have enough space on your phone then google drive helps you to store your files online and will be accessible through any device by login to your google drive account.
Google drive is a free service and you can store up to 15GB data to your account. If you want more space then you have to pay for that.
You will get 15GB space on your each gmail ID. 1 gamil id means 15GB space, 2 Gmail id means 30GB space and so on.
How to use google drive
To use google drive, open the google drive app on your phone. If you don’t have an app then install it from the play store.
Login to google drive app via your gmail id and password. If you are already logged in then skip the step.
O the home page of google drive you will see nothing there because you didn’t uploaded any file yet. First of all you have to upload a file to see it on your google drive.
To upload a file simply click on the plus icon (+). it lets you to upload a file. choose a file from your device and hit the upload button.
The file has been uploaded and can accessible from anywhere.
If you want to delete, rename, share the file then click on three vertical dots icon next to the file. It will open the menu to perform such an activity.
You can delete the uploaded file, rename the file, share the file, copy the file, etc as you do on your mobile or computer.
You can explore more option there.
Now if you want to access those file on another device, simply login to google drive through the same gmail id on another device. All the files will be there for you.
