These lines are probably familiar to you if you use the internet. These are the lines by ‘Anonymous’. It is not only an adjective that we have learned, but also a term that refers to the countless members of the internet subculture who choose to keep their identities hidden from the rest of the world.
Who Are They?
Anonymous, which was founded in 2003, is a subculture of people who share a strong sense of justice. It’s not just one person on his laptop, but several. In fact, we have no idea how many people are a part of the collective. It is a brand and a voice for anyone who wants to make a difference in their community. It is not an organization, but rather a non-hierarchical and decentralized movement.
The mask was inspired by the graphic novel, “V for Vendetta”, which was inspired by the character of Guy Fawkes, a Catholic opponent to the English Crown who tried to blow up the House of Lords in 1605.
