There is no need to avenge the fallen as in Avengers Endgame.

The Percy Jackson franchise by Rick Riordan needs to be a TV series and not a film. Making the novels into a TV series would allow for the actors and actresses to be cast that are the right age, and not cut out some of the best moments from the novels to save time.

The Originals:

Jacob Abel as Iapetus/Bob

Jacob Abel who played Luke Castellan should be recast as Iapetus/Bob. Iapetus was a Titan who after losing his memory helps Percy and Annabeth escape from Tartarus.

This would allow Abel to achieve the redemption arc he would have gotten playing Luke in the end.

Also Iapetus is the great grandfather of Hermes, so the lineage fits.

Paloma Kwiatkowski as Phoebe

Paloma Kwiatkowski who played Thalia Grace should be recast as Phoebe, a Hunter of Artemis.

The reason Kwiatkowski should portray Phoebe instead of Zoe Nightshade is Zoe only appears in one book before dying, while Phoebe like Thalia appears in several.

Phoebe is the Hunter who retells the story of Artemis and Orion, because she was there. She was at the Battle of Manhattan to defend the city against Kronos.

Phoebe is described in the books as a large red head.

Sean Bean as Chiron

He previously portrayed Zeus in Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief film (2010).

Just because the Starks didn’t get to benefit from his wisdom for all eight seasons doesn’t mean his other family shouldn’t.

Natalie Dormer as Hera

I chose Dormer because Alfred J. Van Windekens suggests that Hera was the most beautiful but lost the contest over the Apple of Discord to Aphrodite because Aphrodite was less modest.

This idea fits with Zeus’ character. When Aphrodite first arrived on Olympus Zeus wanted to marry her.

One would assume that Zeus desire to marry Aphrodite means he was unmarried at the time. However Aphrodite is married to Hephaestus, and later falls in love with Ares.

Hephaestus and Ares are Hera and Zeus’ sons.

This means Zeus had already married to Hera, and Zeus was pulling a Henry VIII in attempting to leave his wife.

Dormer’s casting could be a nod to that.

This is confirmed in Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods (2014) in the chapter “You Gotta Love Aphrodite” when Zeus is among the gods to propose to Aphrodite.

“My honor!” yelled Poseidon.

“You’re already married,” Zeus snapped. “It would be my honor.”

“You’re already married!” Herald protested. “To me!”

“Curses!” said Zeus. “Er, I mean, of course, dear.”

Dormer’s casting would give her the chance to play a more modest, vengeful, and strategic queen, than she was as Anne Boleyn in The Tudors (2007).

The photo most closely matches Hera’s hairstyle as drawn by Antonio Caparo.

Patti Murin and Colin Donnell as the Jacksons

The first thing I thought when I saw Viktoria Ridzel’s drawing of Paul Blofis was his smile reminded me of Colin Donnell.

Ridzel’s drawing depicts Blofis as having black hair, yet in the series he is described as having salt and pepper hair. His hair should be grey.

For this reason these two are wild cards.

Donnell portrayed Tommy Merlyn in Arrow and is currently playing Dr. Connor Rhodes in Chicago Med.

I knew I didn’t want an actress that looked to similar to the one from Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief film (2010) simply because the film was horrible.

Having said that the actress who played Sally Jackson, Catherine Keener, does bear a strong resemblance to Viktoria Ridzel’s drawing of the character.

Murin has played Anna from Frozen on Broadway as well as stared opposite Donnell as Dr. Nina Shore in Chicago Med.

Jessica Clark as Demeter

In Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods (2014) Demeter is described as blond, but in the series she is depicted as having black hair.

In Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods (2014) Demeter is described as both kind and warlike, and it is mentioned that her sword may have once been Kronos’ scythe.

In Versailles (2015) Jessica Clark plays the Princess Palatine who is an avid hunter and displays a great deal of compassion and understanding toward everyone around them.

George Blagden should play Midas. Blagden’s performance as Louis XIV in Versailles was excellent.

Midas and Demeter have a son named Lityerses. Llyod Howells should portray Lityerses.

Despite Midas and Demeter never interacting in the series, Blagden and Clark have chemistry.

In season 2 Louis XIV and the Princess Palatine go hunting. The Princess Palatine sees a stag and Louis XIV cautions her as to the danger, but she does charging after it.

Blagden staring after her looking impressed with a slight smile was great. So I think Louis XIV would have been happier with the Princess Palatine someone who shared his interests. They catch the stag.

Austin Foxx as Octavian

I originally was going to cast Ivan Mallon, but I saw Charlie Plummer and thought he looks like Octavian.

Austin Foxx looks like Plummer but he is a few years younger. Plummer could be what Octavian would look like if he had lived.

Mark Addy as Dionysus

I was originally going to cast him as Hephaestus. I’d hoped we get to see him wield a hammer this time around, like his brother and son did.

However, Addy’s performance as Robert Baratheon is ironically more in line with Dionysus, plus this role would reunite him with Sean Bean. He played Hercules on Atlantis (2013–15).

Aneurin Barnard as Hades

Barnard played Richard III on the White Queen (2013). Hades is described in the Lightning Thief as an albino.

Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen as Alabaster C. Torrington

I saw Tønnesen’s IMDB page and I thought he looks exactly like Benedict Cumberbatch.

Torrington is a son of Hecate, goddess of magic.
