These are challenging times we find ourselves living in right now.

We believe STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) subjects are a critical part of a well-rounded education. But we know that figuring out how to keep our children engaged in those subjects is going to be tricky while we’re all at home.

We hugely value the work of all of the teachers, lecturers and classroom assistants across the world, and we’re not going to pretend for a minute we can do a better job than these heroes.

But, we’re still going to lend a hand if we can.

So today, we’re very proud to announce the launch of a new Redgate Coding Club. Aimed at children aged 6 to 14, we’ll host free online workshops every Friday teaching the basics of computing. All delivered by the amazing team here at Redgate.

Details on what you need are below but the big point we want to make is that all of this is free of charge. We’re not doing this to make money, we’re doing this for a number of more important reasons.

Firstly, we love developing software and sharing how we do it.

Second, STEM subjects are super important to us, so if just a few classes we offer create an interest for one child we’ll be delighted.

And third? This is just the right thing to do right now isn’t it?

What we need from others?

We’re planning to host these sessions through the commitment of our amazing staff here at Redgate. BUT, if you are interested in helping deliver some of these classes then we want to hear from you. You can email us at proddev@red-gate.com for further info on how you can help.

Any questions let us know. Otherwise, get signed up and we’ll let you know what’s next.
