Building Entry For Co-Working Spaces

Co-working spaces are more popular than ever before. For the small businesses and freelance professionals that use them, this is because of three main reasons:
- The flexibility that they offer for any kind of business,
- The convenience for businesses as they scale and;
- The cost benefits when compared to getting a separate office.
Co-working spaces aspire to become communities and a safe space where business can come together and support one another. A more important goal is to make life as easy as possible for their customers. A key selling point for small businesses is the removal of the hassle of managing an office.
Here is where a more flexible, convenient and cost effective building entry system makes a big difference. For a co-working space to manage entry for individuals and businesses, it can very quickly become a complex process and difficult to keep track of.
I addition to that, office keycards a expensive and often difficult to manage or update. This means less flexibility for customers, the very thing that they paid for in the first place!
This is just the problem that Ingress One set out to solve. All office entry systems will become software only — no keycards and no guests books. It’s only a matter of time.

By having keycards on a mobile app, tablets as effective key-scanning devices and a simple to use web interface, co-working spaces can have full control over the building and complete flexibility when is comes to managing customer access and changes to permissions can be made instantly.
With co-working spaces there are so many changes going on — as new customers come on board, as there is turnover of employees for the businesses etc. There is a constant stream of work for those running co-working spaces day to day. This increases costs. Ingress One significantly cuts down the amount of work that staff have to do. And because is so flexible and requires no hardware, the cost is much lower than traditional building entry systems.
Co-working spaces are a great example of why a re-think is needed on how we manage building entry. The technology needs to be more flexible, more convenient and at a lower price point. The good news is that its here.
