ICA — FULOKOJA Meetup 1.0 Recap
ICA-FULOKOJA is a platform for growth and development of future world-class developers, designers, CTOs, founders and CEOs, to learn from industry subject matter experts, share knowledge, network, build the community and gain from the many great opportunities attached to the program.

On Thursday, May 9th 2019, we held the first ever Ingressive Campus meetup in Federal University Lokoja from 10:00 AM till 3:00 PM. The meetup was tagged: The Modern Day Developer, Why and Why?.
How did it go?
We had amazing speakers from across Nigeria and the US who spoke on several topics ranging from Data Science, Machine Learning, Version Control, Git/GitHub, Product Design, Productivity, Web Development, Android/Firebase amongst others.

Keynote Speech
Mr Oluwole, Technological officer at the Federal University Lokoja, ICT Centre introduced the audience to Modern Day Development and why everyone should care.
The Modern Day Developer, Why and How?
Jeremiah Asuquo, a Teaching assistant at NPOWER introduced the audience to Modern Day Development, best practices and modern development analytics.
10 Simple Rules to Learn to Code Front-end
Lois Tanimola, FullStack Developer at Let’sCodeIt demystified Web and Front-end Development alongside introducing the audience to front-end frameworks, developer tools and productivity tips.
All Hail the XGBOOST Algorithm
Emeke Boris, Data Science Instructor at GitGirls demystified The XGBoostAlgorithm, Evolution of Tree-Based Algorithms, XGBoost performance, Kaggle projects that use XGBoost and XGBoost on Code.
Demystifying Product Design
Cole Solomon, Product Designer at Just Curator Interiors demystified Product Design, Design thinking processes and relationships between other designs: UI, UX, INTERACTION, IA & WEB DESIGN.

Samson Goddy, Co-founder Open Source Community Africa joined us remotely from New York, US and introduced the audience to Open Source, Google Summer of Code and Open Source Community Africa.
Building Cross-Platform Applications with React Native

We had a question and answer session where attendees asked brilliant questions and got answers from our awesome speakers

We ended the event with a quiz session where we asked developers/designers related questions and distributed awesome swags and gifts to winners.
