There are a lot of steps hidden behind every product launch. A small vegetable vendor tries to find a place where there is no market nearby. This is called Generating and that is the first step to generate the concept of the product.

He opens a petty roadside shop. This is Screening, the idea to test the concept with its advantages and disadvantages. He did not show up for the next two days and popped up in the same roadside place and customers started asking about his absence. This is Testing, the Concept of making assurance of the durability known as the guarantee of the product.

A vegetable vendor came to know about the demand for farm fresh vegetables and those are sold for a high rate comparatively. This is Business Analytics, the step of forecasting the profit or loss of the product. He categorised the consumers into three, Healthy consumers — buying fresh vegetables every day, weekly buyers — working people, given home delivery free as all the customers are located in the same street and third one who consumes only at the weekend like a mess, bachelors, etc. This is how Beta Tests are made to know about the interested consumers and target audience through software with sampling.

He slowly increased its varieties and he made and started selling the bags in which he purchased the vegetables in a bulk quantity. This is how he lists the Technicalities with the Development of the product. He thinks to get some more profit and more customers. So, he made his wife sit beside him to clean and pack the vegetables. This is how he started to commercialize his business.

The vegetable vendor doesn’t need to pay tax as he had made the place in a dead end of the street. From each customer, he will definitely get Rs 500 to 600 as a target. Belief is the first thing he earned from the customers. This is how he finally ends the plan by Post Launch Review and Perfect Pricing.

So, you understand this very well I think. Now let’s plan how we control ourselves to buy just what we want and prove ourselves a brilliant customer.

Tips:

· Maintain a vegetable petty book to limit overconsumption.

· Always carry a cloth bag with you when you move out.

· Make storage of rare products.

· Do not seek non-seasonal vegetable.

· Know the supply and then demand.

At last but not the least, I remember my commerce teacher’s words that “you can learn the best tactics from a vegetable vendor”. The tactics changes according to product and its usage. After all, we are who creates demand.

Hi-fi to my fellow consumers.
