Injective Bridge V2 Release: Cross-Chain Interoperability Across Cosmos and Ethereum

Injective Bridge V2 brings a vastly superior user experience for all Ethereum and Cosmos users.

The Injective Bridge V2 is here, bringing forth a wide array of upgrades and cross-chain compatibility for the entire DeFi ecosystem to interact with Cosmos and Ethereum.

The new Injective Bridge will be able to support any ERC20 token from Ethereum alongside a number of Cosmos IBC-enabled chains such as Cosmos, Terra and Osmosis. In the coming weeks, a number of new IBC-based chains are set to be included as well in order to further support the rapidly growing Cosmos IBC ecosystem.

The upgraded Injective Bridge will help to significantly improve the experience of users, traders and developers on Injective. As CosmWasm smart contracts are integrated in the coming months, the enhanced bridge user experience will serve as a perfect launchpad for new Web3 projects looking to deploy on Injective. Due to Injective’s robust infrastructure for DeFi, projects building within sectors such as trading, lending, savings, and insurance applications will find the bridge to be uniquely suited to fit their cross-chain use cases.

Here you will find a high-level overview of some of the most significant changes that encompass the V2 release. Everyone is encouraged to try bridging through the new Injective Bridge in order to truly experience all of the changes.

Seamless User Experience

The Injective Bridge V2 has been highly optimized in order to ensure the best user experience. Anyone can now make transfers with a few easy clicks while all steps remain highly intuitive and transparent.

Multi-Chain Support: Ethereum and Cosmos IBC Chains

Injective has modified Ethereum and Cosmos support to allow for much more flexibility during the bridging process itself. Native Ethereum users can choose to interact with Injective via MetaMask and can currently make deposits for zero gas fees.

A number of Cosmos zones were also added such as Cosmos and Terra. Osmosis alongside a number of other Cosmos zones are ready to be deployed and will be available within the coming weeks.

The Injective community plans to support an increasing number of chains in the future such as Binance Smart Chain, Polkadot and Solana.

Low Cost

There is no bridge fee when transferring funds into Injective. For first time users transferring from Ethereum, the gas fee will be covered by Injective. There are zero bridge fees when transferring funds into IBC-enabled chains.

Lightning Fast

Transfers are fast. Injective currently supports the fastest withdrawal times for Ethereum in the industry.

Increased Security

The new Injective Bridge is entirely secured by validators on the Injective Chain and has undergone rigorous testing from a number of parties to ensure best in class security.

Multi-Wallet Support

The Injective Bridge is compatible with MetaMask, Keplr and Terra Station wallets. The optionality allows Injective to onboard users from the Ethereum, Cosmos and Terra communities.

Revamped Transparency

The bridging process is completely transparent and each step can be monitored easily on the UI itself and via the Injective Explorer.

A New Era of Bridging

The Injective Bridge V2 brings optimizations that help make it the best decentralized bridge for the Cosmos and Ethereum communities.

“The new Injective Bridge is groundbreaking for the entire crypto industry. It is a highly technical product created to offer the best in class cross-chain bridging solution for Ethereum and Cosmos users while retaining a highly intuitive interface. The Injective Bridge will undoubtedly be instrumental in accelerating the growth of the Injective ecosystem moving forward,” said Injective Labs CEO Eric Chen.

In essence, the new Injective Bridge helps set up one of the core infrastructure layers that will be immensely helpful as CosmWasm smart contracts arrive on Injective. New Injective ecosystem DApps will find the bridge to be extraordinarily helpful since it’ll allow them to easily onboard Ethereum and Cosmos users due to the built in support for multiple wallet types and chains. In addition, DApps on Injective will enjoy the added benefit of being able to use the Bridge to tightly integrate themselves with cross-chain use cases.

Anyone can start using the bridge now on the Injective Hub.
