Our vision for e-commerce and p2p commerce is all about decentralization and giving power back to buyers and sellers. Ink Protocol empowers people to own their online reputation and use it to buy and sell on their own terms.
Today, we are taking a huge step forward in our goal of building a global, decentralized p2p marketplaces powered by Ink Protocol’s blockchain-based reputation system. Anyone who sells on Twitter can now add their listings to the Replin Marketplace for free to reach more buyers and sell online without the high fees that traditional centralized marketplaces charge.

Alternative Marketplaces
We are big believers in alternative marketplaces, and over the last few months have found a tremendous amount of buying and selling activity on Twitter as well as other social platforms. We are particularly involved in the sports card and collectibles community there, but also see a ton of commerce happening in categories like jewelry, toys, games, clothing, sneakers, and much more. Our new features will make it possible to sell all kinds of things in a platform-independent way.
For now, we are starting with Twitter, but as that starts growing, we will look to add other social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Message Forums, Classified sites, and more. Our vision is to aggregate all of the listings in a way that is easy to browse, search, and transact safely. All the listings will be fully owned by the seller and reside on their platform of choice, so we do not own any of the data. Over time, we hope that listings will become more and more decentralized.
Where Does Ink Protocol Fit In?
Sellers do not need to have an active Replin account or Ink Protocol profile, but only those that do will show up as “verified sellers” with a safe and secure method of payment. Everyone else can still list, but they will not have any reputation until a Replin account with Ink Protocol reputation is connected. Reputation can then be displayed proudly on all listings and of course seller’s can take their reputation everywhere they go.
Multiple Verticals and Influencers
We are extremely excited to announce that we have partnered with our first big marketplace influencer on Twitter. The Hobby Connector has created a thriving marketplace for sports collectibles and other items. You can now browse all of Hobby Connector’s listings directly on the Replin marketplace as well. Many of these community members already use Replin daily, and we are seeing many more joining as a result of this partnership. Replin is completely free to use, so we are 100% focused on providing as much value as we can to sellers and making their lives easier. So far, we are very encouraged by the community response and usage!
The next step will be to branch out to more influencers and marketplace verticals, to bring everyone together for a common purpose — making it super safe and easy to buy online, avoiding those high marketplace fees, and ultimately making more money while selling online.
