No matter if you’re Beyonce or a bathroom singer, music is a huge part of everyone’s life. There are a few times when you would have dreamt of owning a studio, where you could sing and record songs whenever and wherever you want. But wait… now you don’t need a studio, a trip to a karaoke bar, or even a gaming console to record your favorites. All you gotta do is take out your smartphone, go to the app store and download a Karaoke app.

With 2.5 million Facebook posts every day and more than 3 million records, the community of the online singers are growing every day. There are a number of karaoke apps that’s taking over the young minds recently and the main attraction of these apps is that you can do a lot with them like bringing a studio feel, chorus, adjusting vocal levels and much more. Crazy, isn’t it? So, what’s driving bathroom… err budding singers to karaoke apps.

Smule: It’s a Community of Passionate Music lovers

Smule is a good place to start, with over 35 million users monthly, it’s one of the leading music community online. Hell Yeah!! It has got karaoke for all the songs; literally all the songs from the time we can remember. :D. It has a collection of more than 1 billion songs and that too in all languages.

The most important thought behind Smule was to create a community so strong that, they encourage, appreciate and join with each other, creating something uninhibited and creative.

It has awesome features, but the icing on the cake is that this app helps you to sing and record songs with anyone across the globe, including celebrities. Some cool features like ‘studio’ are limited to a premium version, but overall it gives a wonderful experience.

Red Karaoke: Compete With Yourself

Red Karaoke on the other side has some really cool features. You sing and record with the app, and it tells you where you’ve gone wrong and helps you train in music. WOW!

The app acts as a karaoke game too, bringing a more realistic karaoke experience, when you connect your mobile to TV. Although it has reserved some of its best features for a premium version, you get credits every time you sing, which can be collected and redeemed for a premium feature.

Yokee : Your Key to your favorites

Sometimes we find ourself singing to an unsynchronized track and we realize it’s better not to sing at all. That’s where Yokee comes into the picture. It helps you browse a hell-lot of well-synchronized karaoke tracks from YouTube. Whoa!! Wait, it’s not over… It’s for free!!!! Even though some of the features are premium, you can pull it off with the Yokee coins, unlocking your favorites without spending not even a dime.

StarMaker: Reach Your Own Stardom

StarMaker is like every other karaoke app. You download the app, sing, and save. But what makes it different is the option to sync the video with your smartphone camera and record the video’ making it possible for you to relive the moments again whenever you want to. Well, that’s something awesome. You own a music video of your favorite track featuring yourself.

I knew You were Treble!!

You can do so much with each of these karaoke apps — sing, record, save songs as a mp3 file, make your own video, share with the world etc. Every app has one unique feature to die for, which will make you download all of 'em. But it’s killing to download all and then learn how to use them and install some more for editing. What if you had a single app where all these features are available at your fingertip. Now that’s what we are waiting for. Do comment on what do you think can be a breaking idea for these Karaoke apps.
