Our new startup initiative.

Attempting to further develop the startup culture that has been critical to our rapid growth over the past 12 months, it’s time to give back to the community. We’ve decided to open our doors to the young minds of today’s mobile tech sector. Together, let’s create something extraordinary.

Why are we doing this?

Investing in young talent

I’m a huge advocate of student entrepreneurship initiatives. Building a startup, while still in school, was one of the best choices I ever made. The risk profile of students is incredibly small. Without mortgages, dependents, and other responsibilities, they are able to put their entire focus into the startup.

Giving back to the community

London, Canada has been a great city to grow our business. We’ve received so much support from organizations like LEDC, TechAlliance, BizInc., and institutions like Western University and Fanshawe College. Now, it’s our turn to give back to the community and this is where we’re starting.

Building a global presence

We’re fortunate to be neighbours to other major tech hubs like Kitchener/Waterloo and Toronto. Now, it’s time for London to be known as a major player in the tech sector. With our investments into mobile tech and badass startups that will emerge from Studios, we aim to do just that!

What does the program include?

Executive mentorship

All founders will agree that mentorship is critical for success. Our executive team will be directly involved with each startup. We’re not talking about forcing key decisions, rather guiding through them, based on our experience.

Seminars and tech talks

Startup culture is inherently iterative and it’s important to continue to learn throughout the lifecycle of the business. To facilitate this, we’re hosting weekly seminars with industry professionals for our startups.

Badass downtown space

That’s right, we’re providing our startups with free office space in our killer downtown office. Not only is it an uber convenient location, but it’s also stocked with a mini pool table, unlimited coffee, and occasional pizza!

Exclusive event access

Inner Geek is like a big family and we’re adopting these startups! That means they’ll be our guests at various industry events, movie nights, and summer parties. After all, what’s hard work without equal play.

Let’s do this!

So now what? We’re looking for badass entrepreneurs, designers, and developers to join our program. Applications are opening… NOW!

You can join as an individual or as a team, with or without an existing idea. Start filling out your applications because they’re due on May 11th.

Let’s create something extraordinary!
