The South Bend Department of Innovation & Technology is a great place to kickstart or grow a career in government technology and public sector innovation.

Interested in collaborating with us on a part time basis remotely or in person? We have several contract positions you should consider:

• Web Developer. Help Commuters Trust run smoothly and open source its transportation management product for other cities/users! More on Commuters Trust here.
• ETL/Data Engineer. Work with the City’s Applications and Business Analytics Teams to optimize city data!
• Web Content Manager. Help City teams make new websites, improve existing city pages, and organize content optimally for users. Bonus if you can also have UX/HCD experience to leverage!
• IT Project Manager. Help our Department implement new tech and software solutions in partnership with our partnered departments. Manage tasks, timelines, stakeholder communications, etc.

These contract positions are great for folks who love working with/for cities and love raising the bar on government communications and services. We’re biased, but we think South Bend is a great city to contract with.
