So its official you can now run Saiku Analytics over MongoDB without touching a text file which is a great achievement.

Whilst MongoDB isn’t necessarily the analytical database of choice there is no doubting the need to analyze data that is stored within many MongoDB clusters. So Saiku Analytics now allows you to fill that gap by allowing you to create MongoDB datasources within our administration console and then creating standard Saiku schema to run over the top of them like you would do with any standard data source.

So rather than me explain in great detail how to create MongoDB data sources and use them within Saiku, checkout the videos explaining how its done.
