Enhanced Anchor Pages with progress monitoring and access points.

Anchor pages exist for Reading, Math, Behavior/ SEL, and Writing for grades K-12, and for Alternative Academic & Life Skills for all grades. They have become one of the most used features in Goalbook Toolkit by teachers across the country. Check out what some of the teachers at our partner districts have said about Anchor Pages:

“I love your Anchor Pages, I wish all your goals had Anchor Pages.” -Elementary Special Education Teacher

“Whenever I am writing goals, I primarily use Anchor Pages.” -Middle School Special Education Teacher

We take teacher feedback seriously and use it as one of the key drivers for improving our instructional design tools. For that reason,we’ve made some major commitments around Anchor Pages. First, All of the goals that we produce moving forward will be Anchor Page and second, these pages will be enhanced to aid in the process of creating solid IEPs.

The enhancements you’ll find on Anchor Pages do two things:

  1. Offer more access points to students to help them master the standard aligned skill with 3 versions of goal text.
  2. Allow teachers to monitor progress by offering a set of tightly aligned assessments right on the page.

We truly believe these enhancements lead to more equitable outcomes for students and empower teachers to make informed decisions about their students’ goals.

The interface on all anchor pages currently in production are is a bit different. The access points section of the page features tabs across the top of the page labeled Grade Level, Approaching, and Developing. PMAs are a series of assessments that are aligned to the annual target to monitor student progress towards the annual goal.

Having a concrete method for measuring progress towards goals makes for less subjectivity in how goals are assessed. We know monitoring progress with fidelity is challenging. The progress monitoring assessments found on Anchor Pages enhance the quality of service by increasing efficiency and ensuring alignment to the standards. Assessments should take less than 20 minutes to administer and they focus on assessing the requisite skills to master the standard. This paired with “just-right” goal text means that teachers are one step closer to ensuring that ALL students succeed.
