Progress Monitoring Assessment Collections for Anchor Standards

The teachers at our partner schools and districts are our main source of inspiration as we add content and features to Goalbook Toolkit. One of the greatest areas of need for these teachers was specific progress monitoring resources.

In response to this need, we released the progress monitoring strategy page that houses a set of data tracking sheets that help with this challenge. However, teachers wanted multiple assessment resources paired with these tracking sheets to engage in an ongoing formative assessment cycle. This release helps them do just that, on the key standards linked below you’ll find assessments for progress monitoring alongside data tracking sheets.

Reading Assessment Collections for Progress Monitoring

Grade 1 Example of Progress Monitoring Assessments

This initial release prioritizes reading foundational standards for grades 1–5. The assessment collections for each grade level include 12 distinct oral reading passages with a running record copy for the teacher and a clean copy for the student. The progress monitoring sheet found below the assessments on the page is tailored to help teachers capture accurate records of student progress with each fluency assessment they take.

Grade 3 Example of Progress Monitoring Assessments

This initial release prioritizes the foundational math skill of multiplication in grades 3–5 and solving linear equations in grade 8. The assessment collections for each grade level include 12 leveled math assessments and a teacher answer key. The progress monitoring sheet found below the assessments on the page allows teachers to capture dates, scores, and notes for each assessment the student takes.
