Virtual Collaboration — Simple, yet Impactful

My experiment is about allowing the learners to collaborate on the Virtual Learning platform, to ensure that they are able to understand and apply the skillsets & toolsets from “Outward Leadership” in real life.

The collaboration can be done in either Zoom shared screen, with annotate functions, or in google slide which they can be assigned in different breakout rooms to discuss and collaboration on the case study.

First example, is after they saw the short video clips and write about the woman’s behavior in the video, which they learnt how much FACTs they have seen and how much INTERPRETATIONs they have made on her behaviors. Many learners realized that they might actually interpret from their own perspectives up to two-thirds, remaining only one-thirds of the fact.

Another example, is after they watched the case study of one top executive who need to cut $100 million within 30 days, so the learners were discussing which Outward Leadership tools that may be applicable to this situation.

I learnt that people enjoy collaboration, and I observed lots of engagement going on. It’s obvious that when we set the culture right, the learning space becomes alive for many of them to learn & share & enjoy.
