As an early stage technology VC, we think a lot about what separates a good startup from a great one. We’ve learned that building a presence and strong partnerships in key ecosystems is essential. As former operators we know that making those meaningful connections in other ecosystems is hard to do — especially alone.

Aimed at helping our portfolio companies achieve success in this area, we are thrilled to announce our newest team members today. Working from one of the most vibrant startup scenes in the world, they extend Inovia’s ability to accelerate entrepreneurs reinventing old economies and pushing technological frontiers.

It was only natural that we seek talent with successful entrepreneurial and CEO experience in Silicon Valley. We are excited to have teamed up with two such individuals.

Todd Simpson

Todd Simpson is an accomplished entrepreneur and executive originally from Calgary, now living in the Bay area. He was Chief Strategy Officer at AVG, Chief of Innovation at Mozilla, and has been CEO of both public and private companies. Thanks to his extensive experience in partnerships and corporate development, Todd will help calibrate founders’ strategies against the best, and leverage his network to put it into action. He joins us as a Venture Partner in San Francisco.

Scott Munro

Scott Munro was Chairman and CEO of Savoir Technology Group, a company he grew from $50 million to a $1 billion run rate in 5 years before selling the company. He then founded Pagemill Partners, a Palo Alto based middle market investment bank later acquired by Duff & Phelps. Pagemill has completed over 250 transactions in software, internet, communications & media and hardware. Scott will help our companies build strong foundations for successful M&As and IPOs. He is now a Venture Partner with Inovia.
